Welcome to Hearts & Pines Country Quilts |
It is the first mild day of March. Each minute sweeter than before... There is a blessing in the air.

I think Sarah Ban Breathnach expressed our March yearnings in her book, Simple Abundance, when she wrote, "March arrives, the last hurrah of winter and the first whisper of spring. Slowly our spirits reawaken, along with the natural world, from a long winter's slumber... Deep within, we feel stirrings of hope."

Our quilt clubs are awesome! Our newest club, Primitive Garden (from Primitive Gatherings), will begin later this month and it's going to be a BEAUTY with wool embellishments! Check out the picture of this quilt on our blog. Registration will begin on St. Patrick's Day, and you are most welcome to join us. Then, beginning in late May, our first ever Hearts & Pines Mystery Quilt Club will begin. Here are three early clues to help you... first, the quilt is called "Prairie School Sampler" and it's my newest design; second, our kits will use the gorgeous prints and colors of Moda's Kansas Troubles fabrics; and third, there will be fun and informative historical information about each featured block in the mystery. Registration will begin in mid-May! Are you excited about Thimbleberries Club 2010? It's called Village Green, and it's lots of FUN! We have ONE membership available in the Dawn coloration (my personal favorite, which actually surprises me...I love the border fabric colors in this one). Throughout our clubs, we have a great group of quilters hailing from all around the globe -- what a roster of amazing women! Please join us! Look over our choices, pick one or more, and sign up today! Our new club, Sylvia's Bridal Sampler, is off to a great start for quilters and readers who are fans of Jennifer Chiaverini's "Elm Creek Quilts" books. Sylvia's Bridal Sampler includes 140 blocks, and the beautiful Moda fabrics are a perfect choice for this club! WOW! Our Moda YOU Green Piece Quilt Club roster is filled and our members are really enjoying working with the beautiful Moda wool alternate blocks. We've also begun a new series of mini-clubs from designer Lynda Howell at The Stitch Connection. These four seasonal wall quilts comprise the Changing Seasons Clubs. The neat part of these clubs is that you may choose from two versions: machine embroidery (multi-format CD) or hand applique! These little clubs are short-term commitments -- just three months, and you're finished! Make one, two, three, or all four of the quilts -- each seasonal quilt is its own mini-club. Click on the Quilt Clubs button and check them out! In addition, the Quilting With Laura Club is back by popular demand! This has been our longest running club, and it just keeps on going! The Laura quilt designer, Linda Halpin, is featuring a Laura quilt on her website from one of our club members! Way to go, Mary! Do you like quilting AND embroidery? Try Winter Wonderland Club! Eleanor Burns' Victory Quilts Club and Egg Money Quilts Clubs are perennial favorites, and the Snowman Collector Club enjoys new members every month...those snowmen just never melt!

What makes our quilt clubs so popular? We have awesome choices featuring quilt designs of lasting beauty and charm, no membership fees, the highest quality fabrics, yet the best values (kits are priced & shipped on a bi-monthly basis so you save about 50% on shipping costs), combined shipping for multiple clubs, a revolving-door system (join anytime), and a $5 gift certificate when you complete a club.
