Our 2008 Quilt Clubs are awesome! We're gearing up for the new Moda U Quilt Club, and the membership roster is about three-fourths filled. It's called "Selvages", and the design represents traditional quilting design beauty. We'll use two brand new, gorgeous Moda collections: "Portobello Market" by 3 Sisters, and "Heritage", a group of painstakingly reproduced prints from the mid-1800s. To top it off, Moda is donating their proceeds from the sale of the Heritage fabrics to Gilda's Club, which provides support to families living with cancer. Sign up today! The first two blocks are "Brownie Nine-Patch" & "Selvage's Star". We have great choices for Americana Clubs, too, as well as our perennial favorite, "Quilting With Laura" -- which features a fantastic country school block. It's an honor to congratulate a number of my longarm quilting customers on the results of summer competitions! You'll see photos of some of our winning quilts in the Quilting Portfolio, and there are more photos coming. In Pennsylvania, we earned a very nice People's Choice Award; in Kansas, a Grand Champion Purple Ribbon; in Minnesota, a Supervisor's Choice Award, a Superintendent's Choice Award, and many beautiful Blue Ribbons, as well. These awards are an affirmation of creativity, skill, and perseverence.
